Comments

The 3L:27157999..27268445 release 6 coordinates of the left breakpoint are estimates. The left extent corresponds to the right end of vtd, which Syrzycka et al. (FBrf0242319) say is not deleted. The right extent corresponds to the right end of RpL15, which Syrzycka et al. (FBrf0242319) say is deleted.

The 3L:27967244..28112227 release 6 coordinates of the right breakpoint are estimates. The left extent corresponds to the left end of CG17514, which Syrzycka et al. (FBrf0242319) say is deleted. Because Df(3L)9-56 extends into centric heterochromatin according to Syrzycka et al. (FBrf0242319), the right extent is shown arbitrarily as the right end of chromosome 4 genome assembly.

This deletion removes a single ribosomal protein-coding gene (though other genes are also removed).

Comments on Cytology

At least a major portion of h50 is absent in this deficiency. It is not clear whether or not h49 and h51 are affected.

Left limit of break 1 from non-inclusion of vtd (FBrf0048227) Right limit of break 1 from inclusion of l(3)80Fi (FBrf0048227) Left limit of break 2 from inclusion of l(3)80Fi (FBrf0048227) Right limit of break 2 from polytene analysis (citation unavailable)

NOT in combination with other aberrations

Flies heterozygous for the deletion show a Minute bristle phenotype.

Homozygotes show a first larval instar lethal phase.
