Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In this case, the "Export to Hitlist" button at left will also be disabled.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations

Fails to complement the loss of function iab-7 phenotype of Df(3R)R59.

Heterozygotes with Df(3R)Ubx-RS4-8 or Df(3R)Abd-BS10 have seven fully developed abdominal segments rather than the normal six, with no A7 development, due to anterior transformation of A7. Pigmentation in A6 and A7 is complete. Microscopic examination confirms the presence of A5 and A6 identities.

    Other Comments

Break in BX-C maps to +145.5-148.5. The Abd-Biab7-MX2 breakpoint may separate iab5,6,7 from a specific region required for its action in trans. The trans-required region maps between the Abd-Biab7-MX2 breakpoint (in the interval +139.5-142kb) and the Df(3R)ul10 break point (in the interval +145.5-148.5kb).
