In DoaEMS-C/Doa3 mutant flies the leg segments distal to the first tarsus are often missing or are necrotic. The femur and claws form normally.
Doa7/Doa3 mutants where the Doa7 allele is from the mother are viable. When the Doa3 allele comes from the mother there are no survivors.
In Doa3/DoaSu(Mrt9) mutants where the Doa3 allele is from the mother the flies have small, rough eyes. When the DoaSu(Mrt9) allele comes from the mother there are no survivors.
In Doa3/Doaγ3E mutants where the Doa3 allele is from the mother only males are recovered and these flies have darkened areas in the wing veins. When the Doaγ3E allele comes from the mother there are no survivors.
Eye colour: darker than apricot in males.
