17% of homozygous embryos show misguided and stalled terminal tracheal branches at 25oC. Females containing homozygous germline clones show frequent oocyte differentiation defects, often having 2 small and 14 large nuclei or 3 small and 13 large nuclei. Egg production is greatly reduced in these females and 100% of the eggs are strongly dorsalised; 44% have expanded dorsal appendages, 41% have a single fused or circumferential dorsal appendage, 9% have multiple dorsal appendages and 6% have no dorsal appendage.
