Defect in behaviour to visual objects.
Poor orientation in tests involving fixation on objects or movements to and from in a "choice" experiment between two identical objects (i.e., flies in an arena). Normal response to spots in a Y-maze test. Mutants make rapid continuous changes in their visual gaze instead of sporadic changes as in wild type.
Normal orientation effects in the fixation Y-maze.
