EcollacZ^wg.1.2 transcript is expressed at the D/V boundary of the wing disc, as well as at the wing hinge primordium.

Expression of EcollacZ^wg.1.2, as determined by X-gal staining, is seen diffused throughout the wing disc of the second instar larva. By the middle of the third instar larval stage, the staining pattern resolves into a wing margin stripe and a ring around the wing pouch.
