      Expression of gcmhs.PB during the third larval instar stage using heat shock results in extra bristles on the thorax. Expression of gcmhs.PB during the white pupa stage using 60 or 90 minutes of heat shock at 37oC results in extra bristles on the wing. Expression of gcmScer\UAS.cBa during the pupal stage using heat shock does not result in extra bristles on the thorax or wing.

      Embryos expressing gcmhs.PB ubiquitously due to heat shock produce ectopic hemocytes which are found throughout the embryo.
