Third instar larval eye-antennal discs expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4hth-GETDB show a disruption of epithelial folding at the A1 fold, and abnormal mixing of cells on either side of the A1 field boundary, as compared to controls.

Third instar larval eye-antennal disc clones expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI, and not spanning the A1 fold, do not show abnormal mixing of cells on either side of the A1 field boundary, but cells show a larger apical area than those normally found in the fold.

Larval eye-antennal discs expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 exhibit decreased cell proliferation, but no significant change in apoptosis levels, as compared to controls.

Expression of NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4E(spl)m6-BFM.PF has no significant effect on the number of abdominal lateral adult muscle precursor cells in mid-third instar larvae, as compared to controls.

Expression of NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa in the eye disc under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP results in clones that overproliferate compared to wild type cells.

Expression of NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in a dramatic loss of the eye.

NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa; Scer\GAL41151 pupae have normal numbers of dorso-ventral and medio-lateral indirect flight muscle founder myoblasts and the resulting adults have the correct number of dorso-ventral and medio-lateral indirect flight muscle fibres.

Lymph glands that express (driven by Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Act5C) are smaller than wild-type. This phenotype is not due to increased apoptosis.

When NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa expressing clones (driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP) are made in the ventral part of the wing disc, they are not significantly rounder than wild-type clone.

Neuronal patterning in the ommatidial preclusters is maintained in flies expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4lz-gal4.

Expression of NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa driven by Scer\GAL4ey.PH leads to a severely reduced eye.

Over expression of the dominant negative form of N, NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa in the posterior compartment of the wing disc by Scer\GAL4en-e16E, produces a ragged dorsal/ventral boundary.

Flies expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.int2.1 have wing defects ranging from wing margin notches to rudimentary wings.

Co-expression of bansponge.Scer\UAS.T:Disc\RFP suppresses the disrupted A1 epithelial folding and cell mixing at the A1 field boundary seen in eye-antennal discs expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4hth-GETDB.

Expression of NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa does not suppress the dendrite pruning defects seen in ddaC neurons expressing lin19GD9650 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG at 16 hours after pupariation.

Expression of NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU partially suppresses the oocyte polarity defect seen when the posterior follicle cells are mutant for flwFP41.

Eye disc clones expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in a Vha55j2E9 mutant background do not proliferate as in a wild-type background and instead create only small clones, of a similar size to Vha55j2E9 mutant clones.

The eye loss phenotype caused by expression of NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH is partially suppressed by co-expression of hipkScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.

Eye development in NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa; Scer\GAL4ey.PH flies is partially rescued by eygScer\UAS.lune. The resulting eyes are almost as big as wild-type.

Flies expressing NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa and either toyScer\UAS.cCa or eyScer\UAS.cHa driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 exhibit ectopic eyes on legs and wings in all flies.
