P{lacW}IntS4G0095 is inserted in the second exon of IntS4, disrupting the conserved arm-type fold, housing the HEAT repeats. This insertion is predicted to cause a C-terminal truncation.
IntS4G0095 homozygotes die at the junction of the 2nd- and 3rd-instar larval stages (with only a small percentage progressing to 2rd instar).
Mutants die at the L3 moult.
The reduced female receptivity phenotype of Nrgibx is complemented by IntS4G0095.
P{lacW} not verified as causing the lethality.
