      Homozygous embryos have no significant defects in the mesoderm or central nervous system. Homozygotes show defects in the tracheal system at late stage 16, including a tortuous dorsal trunk (about 80% penetrance), truncated terminal branches from the dorsal and ganglionic branches (about 60% penetrance) and a missing dorsal anastomosis (about 50% penetrance).
