The response of the ab1C olfactory receptor neuron to CO[[2]] is normal in mutant flies. The odour responses of the ab1A, ab2A and ab3A ORNs are normal in mutant flies.
Gγ1NP1535 flies exhibit significantly lowered proboscis extension reflex rates in response to 100mM sucrose compared to controls. However, Gγ1NP1535/Gγ1ΔP transheterozygote flies show normal proboscis extension reflex rates. Gγ1NP1535 flies show markedly lower gustatory receptor neuron responses to 10-100mM sucrose, 10-100mM fructose, 30mM glucose and 10 and 30mM trehalose. There is no significant reduction of nerve responses to water and salt.
