Expression of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev engenders ommatidial rotation defects.

Expression of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev results in over-rotation of the ommatidia (13.8 +/- 3.4% rotate more than 135[o]).

Expression of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev causes a large number of ommatidia to rotate faster than normal and many clusters over-rotate (rotate more than 90[o]).

Expression of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev results in a defect in the degree of ommatidial rotation in the eye; many ommatidia rotate beyond the normal stopping point of 90[o]. Approximately 60% of the ommatidia rotate 90[o], and of the remaining 40%, 10% orient at 27[o] (more than at any other degree). The phenotype is more severe at higher temperature.

Expression of one copy of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4bi.PU results in a narrowing of the regions between longitudinal veins, notably L2 and L3.

Expression of two copies of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4bi.PU results in loss of wing tissue, narrowing of the interval between veins, loss of the posterior crossvein and loss of some longitudinal veins.

Expression of one copy of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL469B results in loss of the posterior crossvein and a narrower wing blade.

Expression of nmoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4bi.PU results in the positions of veins L2 and L5 being shifted from the margins towards the central anterior-posterior boundary compared to wild type.
