Amino acid replacement: I134F.
Mutation in an RNA editing site; in wild-type the DNA triplet sequence for amino acid residue 134 encodes an Ile residue, but because of RNA editing, the protein produced contains a Val residue at this position. This codon has been mutated to sequence encoding a Phe residue in nAcRα-30DCB11. This is an alteration in the extracellular domain.

Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change. Mutation in an RNA editing site; in wild-type the DNA triplet sequence for amino acid residue 134 encodes an Ile residue, but because of RNA editing, the protein produced contains a Val residue at this position.
nAcRα-30DCB11/nAcRα-30DO adults are resistant to spinosyn A compared to controls.
