    Rabex-5ex42/Df(3L)BSC250 larvae grow excessively due to delayed pupation and have occasional melanotic tumours. Imaginal discs have an overgrown and folded epithelium and increased cell size. The eye-antennal discs are often fused with the brain lobes

    Rabex-5ex42 homozygotes or heterozygotes over Df(3L)BSC250 die as giant larvae or giant pupae, often containing melanotic tumors.

    Rabex-5ex42/+ enhances the wing phenotype resulting from Rabex-5VDRC.cUa expression driven by Scer\GAL4C-765.

    Homozygous Rabex-5ex42 mutant wings display extra veins.

    Stat92EF significantly suppresses the tumourous phenotype of Rabex-5ex42 imaginal discs: eye-antennal discs are no longer fused to the brain, and show a relatively wild-type shape and structure, although abnormal folds are still seen.
