Chromosome originally contained second-site mutation(s); animals homozygous for the chromosome showed complete lethality in the early larvae or embryo, while animals transheterozygous for the chromosome and a deficiency that removes GlyP show semi-lethality in larvae that results in the emergence of adult escapers.
