ScerGAL4Orcokinin.PC drives expression in one large pair of neuronal cell bodies in the posterior lateral protocerebrum, in four pairs of neurons in the accessory medulla, in two pairs of neurons and in one unpaired neuron positioned in the adult thoracico-abdominal ganglion cell body rind. In the larva five pairs of abdominal neurons can be detected with ScerGAL4Orcokinin.PC. In addition, expression is also seen in the digestive system and in cells that are not positive for Orcokinin mRNA or protein.
Activation of Scer\GAL4Orcokinin.PC-positive neurons (by the expression of TrpA1UAS.(B).cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4Orcokinin.PC) leads to decreased female fecundity.
