Description

A mCherry tag has been introduced into the endogenous zld locus, immediately downstream of the translation start codon that is shared by all isoforms. A single loxP site is also present as a result of the mutagenesis technique used.

      The reporter for the main zld isoforms is detected throughout embryogenesis. It is also detected in several third instar larval tissues including the wing disc. The reporter for the zld-PD protein is not detected in embryos or in third instar larvae.
