Description

The fiz enhancer region from a wild-type cosmopolitan strain, spanning coordinates 14,909,008-14,910,193 of the X chromosome (release 6), regulates expression of lacZ.

(Glaser-Schmitt and Parsch, 2018)

A 1.2kb fiz upstream fragment extending from 9bp after the CG14406 stop codon (the upstream gene) to 2bp before the fiz start codon, amplified from a European D.melanogaster strain, is fused upstream of lacZ.
