Under standard fed conditions, aay^KG05974 homozygotes show a small but significant increase in sleep time, a reciprocal significant increase in sleep latency period, a significant decrease in arousability by light stimuli, and a small but significant decrease in walking activity, but no change in sleep rebound after sleep deprivation or in climbing capacity, as compared to heterozygous or wild-type controls.
