Term |
embryonic peripheral glial cell 10 |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00001330 (Fly Anatomy) |
Definition |
Embryonic peripheral glial cell associated with the intersegmental nerve (ISN), located at its distal end, laterally to ePG9 (von Hilchen et al., 2008). It develops from a sensory organ precursor cell (Nelson and Laughon, 1993; von Hilchen et al., 2008) and gives rise to a subperineurial glial cell (von Hilchen et al., 2013).[ FlyBase:FBrf0050677 FlyBase:FBrf0054242 FlyBase:FBrf0059322 FlyBase:FBrf0064795 FlyBase:FBrf0204826 FlyBase:FBrf0222452 ] |
Also Known As |
"ePG10" ; "peripheral glial cell 3 of ISN" ; "PG3" |
Comment |
The position of the cell body of ePG10 is fixed: it is found at its position 100% of the time. This analysis was done using specific cell markers and taking into account which nerve the cell is associated with (von Hilchen et al., 2008). Mapping to from the terminology of Klambt and Goodman, 1991, is also from von Hilchen et al., 2008. |
