Comment Suska et al., 2011, use immunoreactivity to proCapa, Dimm and Dac to identify vA neurons. Expression is restricted to abdominal segments A2-A4 from embryonic stage 17 onwards, but is present in vA-like cells in most abdominal and thoracic segments from stage 14 to 17.
