Definition Adult dopaminergic neuron with its cell body in the gnathal ganglion (Marella et al., 2012). The ventral gnathal ganglion has four dopaminergic neurons; a bilateral pair with each neuron arborizing in one half of the subesophageal zone, a relatively anterior unpaired neuron and a relatively posterior unpaired neuron (Marella et al., 2012).[ FlyBase:FBrf0217751 FlyBase:FBrf0238545 ]
