Definition |
Distal medullary wide-field amacrine neuron whose cell body is located in dorsal anterior region of the cell body rind of the medulla. Its primary neurite branches in the M2 layer, in the same sublayer as Dm17 and Dm19. The arbors overlap, forming a grid-like arrangement and covering around 50-100 columns. The arbor is located in a peripheral intracolumnar position. There are around 15 Dm14 neurons per hemisphere.[ FlyBase:FBrf0228639 ] |
