Description
Description
From structural modeling, PHTF protein family are predicted to possess seven transmembrane domains and act as ion channels. (Adapted from FBrf0255996.)
Notes on Group

The PHTF (Putative Homeodomain Transcription Factor) family was origianally named based on a short region of homology. Subsequent sequence and expression analysis has shown these proteins to be integral membrane proteins rather than transcription factors (FBrf0255996 & PMID:12604659).

The PHTF PUTATIVE SEVEN TRANSMEMBRANE DOMAIN ION CHANNELS gene group contains only one member.
