Mass spectrometry hits with i) a single peptide hit, ii) less than 20% coverage or iii) "MS score" less than 50 were excluded. Hits were compared to negative controls and retained only if i) not present in negative controls or ii) had 4-fold higher "MS score" than in negative controls.
