However, the expression of the construct was not driven by a GAL4 line, but rather by enhancer piracy, and hence the promoter is unknown. The only information we are in a position to provide is that the line used is a jump of UAS-tkv* onto the TM3, Sb balancer chromosome. Please feel free to write to me for further clarifications. (and in several other papers), the transgenic line itself is unique. The designation we use for this line is 'SC143' (TM3, Sb, tkv*).
