Df(3L)BSC46 was isolated as a P transposase-induced male recombination
event involving P{PZ}fry02240 and P{EP}EP771. The deletion was isolated
as a rhove-1-e1 recombinant chromosome from the cross rhove-1 pp
e1 females x CyO, H{PDelta2-3}HoP2.1/+; rhove-1
P{PZ}fry02240/P{EP}EP0771 e1 males. Polytene chromosome squashes showed
the breakpoints 67C2-4;67C8-10. Df(3L)BSC46 failed to complement
P{PZ}l(3)0185901859 and l(3)67BDp1.
