comments:    As part of a genetics laboratory at Dartmouth College, the location of the copia insertion in H[1] was determined.
The copia transposon is inserted in the second intron of the Hairless gene.  The insertion occurs in between the T/A at 314/315 base pairs counting from the 5' splice junction.
