Thanks for your message. That is an interesting question. l(4)102CDd  existed as a gene with two alleles that failed to complement each other, l(4)102CDd1 and l(4)102CDd2. However, we now know that the only extant allele of this gene (i.e. l(4)102CDd2) is a deficiency (Df(4)BH). We do not know whether l(4)102CDd1 was a single lethal inside Df(4)BH or also a deletion - this allele could be either become a gene (l(4)102CDd1) with molecular limits within Df(4)BH or eliminated altogether since it was lost.

That is, do you think the current data in the 'l(4)102CDd’ Gene Report should all be associated with the ‘dati’ Gene Report, or should we maintain ‘l(4)102CDd’ as a separate entity?
