In leg discs of third instar larva, expressed in pattern of concentric rings.

Enhancer trap expression is observed in a gradient in the eye disc. The highest levels of β-gal are detected near the dorsal-ventral midline of the disc with decreasing levels in the direction of the dorsal and ventral poles. Expression is also observed in the larval brain.
