ScerGAL4^bab1-Gal4 drives expression in all somatic cells of the larval ovary. In the pupal ovary, ScerGAL4^bab1-Gal4 drives expression primarily in the terminal filament and in germarium cap cells; weak expresion is observed in the basal stalk and in interstitial cells. In the adult ovary, ScerGAL4^bab1-Gal4 drives expression in escort cells and escort stem cells, in the terminal filament, and in germarium cap cells.
