Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In this case, the "Export to Hitlist" button at left will also be disabled.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations

Df(2L)TW119/Df(2L)TW201 flies show male sterility, deafness and reduced ocelli. Mature sperm are formed in the males, but are amotile. The two cyst cells surrounding the mature 64-unit sperm bundle fail to be degraded and the spermatids that constitute the bundle are not individualised.

Most Df(2L)TW3/Df(2L)TW201 embryos have homeotic defects in the abdomen, often showing partial transformation of the first abdominal segment to the second abdominal segment. Segment polarity defects and a reduced cephalopharyngeal skeleton are also often seen. Df(2L)TW3/Df(2L)TW201 ; Scm1/+ embryos have severe head defects including almost complete loss of the cephalopharyngeal skeleton, show partial transformation of the 1st abdominal segment to a more posterior segment, and show transformation of the 6th and 7th abdominal segments towards the 8th abdominal segment.
