    In combination with other aberrations
NOT in combination with other aberrations

Homozygous lethal. Approximately 25% of 1.5 to 2 hour old embryos derived from crosses of Df(2R)eyc-l39/+ flies show no nuclear envelopes. The nuclei do not migrate to the surface of the embryo and cellularisation fails. Mosaic flies in which the eyes are made homozygous early in the development of the eye primordium lack eyes.
