Detailed Description
Statement

Somatic mitotic clones of Pcl5 do not induce ovarian defects.

Embryos doubly mutant for PscArp.1 and Pcl5 show posteriorly directed segmental transformations. There is medial erosion of the ventral setae and ectopic Fell hairs are seen in approximately 60% of cases.

Weak posteriorly directed transformations.

enhances Mcp

Comments

Ectopic abd-A expression occurs throughout the A-P axis but cellular distribution within each segment is limited. Abd-B shows a graded expression at 9 hours along the A-P axis, more concentrated in the posterior (Jurgens, Nature 316: 153--155, Breen, Dev. Biol. 118: 442--456). By 12 hours the expression is more uniform.

Weak derepression of en expression.

Shows no significant dominant suppression of the nos mutant phenotype.
