eyaE1/eya4 adults and majority of eyaE1/In(2LR)ETD2.2 adults are eyeless.

eya1/eya3 and eya1/eya4 adults exhibit significantly higher number of ommatidia in the eye than eya1/eyaE1 adults.

eya2/eya4 and eya2/eya3 adults exhibit significantly higher number of ommatidia in the eye than eya2/eyaE1 adults.

eya1/eyaE1 flies are eyeless or have eyes reduced to less than 1/4 normal size. More than 50% of eyaE1/eyaE(P)10 animals die as embryos.

eyaE1/eya1 flies and eyaE1/eya3 flies are eyeless.

Less than 50% of eyaE1/Df(2L)eya10 embryos hatch. Less than 50% of eyaE1/eyaE3 animals survive to adulthood. Adults have eyes which are less than 1/2 normal size. eyaE1/eya4 flies are eyeless.
