Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Su(var)3-917 enhances the abdominal dorsal fusion defects seen in crm32 mutants; unlike in crm32 alone, dorsal fusion phenotypes are visible at 25[o]C. In contrast the crm32 ectopic sex comb phenotype is suppressed.

eggG19561; Su(var)3-917 double mutants mostly exhibit a gourd-shaped germaria and defects in the budding off of new egg chambers; as a result, the double mutant has no developing egg chambers in the ovary.

Su(var)3-917 dominantly suppresses the eye tumour phenotype of flies expressing DlScer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH and also carrying the P{GSV1}lolaGS88A8 insertion (which results in the lolaGS88A8 and psqGS88A8 alleles being expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH).

Has no effect on the frequency of X-Y chromosome nondisjunction seen in Df(1)X-1-53B males.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The addition of Hsap\SUV39Hhs.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP partially complements the suppression of PEV phenotype seen in Su(var)3-917 animals.
