dorsal multidendritic neuron ddaE & dendrite (with Tm1S130510)

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

The dendrites of dorsal cluster dendritic arborization (DA) neurons and ddaE neurons overextend in Tm1S130510/Tm1el4 transheterozygotes. This phenotype also occurs in Tm1el4 homozygotes. The amount and length of lateral branches that extend from the dorsal dendrites is greater in Tm1S130510/Tm1el4 transheterozygotes than in wild-type embryos.

Mosaic egg chambers are viable and produce the germ cell less phenotype of Tm1gs1 and develop into sterile adults (embryos exhibit abdominal defects).

Statement
Reference

Embryos that are Tm1S130510/Tm1el4 transheterozygotes in a stan51/+ background have an enhanced dendritic overextension phenotype in ddaE neurons.

66% of eggs derived from Tm1eg9 +/Tm1el4 osk1 females do not develop into viable larvae. In 44% of the dead eggs, embryogenesis does not commence, or is terminated before cuticle formation, while 56% of the dead eggs have a characteristic "posterior group" phenotype with missing abdominal segments.
