CCT3^EP754 homozygotes exhibit cardiac dysfunction under either Light:Light or Light:Dark cycles, as shown by significant increases in heart period, arrhythmia, and diastolic and systolic intervals, and by small decreases in diastolic and systolic diameter, but not in fractional shortening, as compared to controls.

In contrast to wild type, Cctγ^EP754 mutant flies subjected to 12-hour daytime-restricted feeding (TRF) do not exhibit improved cardiac contractility relative to genotype and age-matched ad libitum feeding (ALF) flies, as measured by heart period and arrhythmicity.
