      Animals expressing Tps1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL432B die during the first larval instar. Expression of Tps1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in a rough eye phenotype with disorganised, small ommatidia which have larger spaces than normal between them. The number of photoreceptor cells in each ommatidium is normal. Expression of Tps1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB at 24 or 18oC results in late pupal lethality. Flies expressing Tps1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB at 15oC show a shortened recovery time after anoxia compared to control flies.
