In CanB2EP774/CanB2180 animals, large gaps or deletions occur in the centrally located dorsal medial muscle pairs. In most cases, one or more dorsal muscles are present, and on rare occasions, one or more ventral muscles. However, the dorsal ventral and trochanter muscle pairs are intact and normally arranged in these flies. In contrast to the precisely arrayed indirect flight muscles present in posterior thoraces of wild-type animals, the posterior thoraces of CanB2EP774/CanB2180 animals contain large, poorly defined muscle masses.
Lethality occurs at a late larval/pupal stage.
CanB2180 has lethal phenotype, suppressible by CanBUAS.cSa/Scer\GAL4hs.PB
CanB2180 is a suppressor of visible phenotype of Pp2B-14Dact.GMR
CanB2180 is a suppressor of eye phenotype of Pp2B-14Dact.GMR
Low level expression of CanBScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB (in the absence of heat shock) increases survival of CanB2180 adults from less than 0.2% to 11%.
Selected as: a modifier of the Pp2B-14Dact.GMR rough eye phenotype.
"X ray" was stated as tentative. "ethyl methanesulfonate" was stated as tentative.
