Detailed Description

The survival rate of DIP1EY02625 mutants after DCV infection is 45% compared to controls. Median survival is ~3.5 days. The amount of DCV RNA increases sharply in the mutants after 24 h following infection, whereas DCV levels remain undetectable by 72 hours after infection in wild type.

DIP1EY02625 flies have a restrictive phenotype with respect to gypsy expression (assayed by expression of a P{gypsy-lacZ.p12} reporter construct in the ovaries).

DIP1EY02625 flies are stable for ZAM expression (assayed by expression of a P{ZAM-lacZ.LTR} reporter construct in the ovaries).

Comments

DIP1EY02625 is not a flam mutant; it is female fertile, complements the flamBG02658 female sterile phenotype and is restrictive with respect to gypsy expression (assayed by expression of a P{gypsy-lacZ.p12} reporter construct in the ovaries).
