lethal (with Df(3L)ED4543)
lethal (with Df(3L)fz-GF3b)
Two classes of phenotype are seen in embryos derived from females containing homozygous ptipc04574 germline clones mated to Df(3L)fz-GF3b/+ males. Embryos that are both maternally and zygotically mutant for ptip show severe disruption or complete loss of denticle belts. Embryos that lack maternal ptip function have fairly normal cuticle patterns, although they often have denticle fusions.
ptipc04574/Df(3L)fz-GF3b zygotic mutant third instar larvae are normal in overall size and show normal locomotion. However, the imaginal discs are smaller than normal and are distorted.
Df(3L)fz-GF3b/Ptipc04574 has lethal phenotype, suppressible by Mmus\Paxip1UAS.cFa/Scer\GAL4hs.PB
Expression of Mmus\Paxip1Scer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock rescues the lethality of ptipc04574/Df(3L)fz-GF3b zygotic mutants.
