Expression of Pfdn5GD15259 under the control of either Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 (with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) or Scer\GAL4wor.PA (together with Scer\GAL80ase.PN) results in formation of ectopic neuroblasts (either type I or type II, respectively) in third instar larval brains.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in an increased number and size of GFP-positive aggregates within neuroblast lineage cells in the larval brain compared to controls (these aggregates may indicate cell death or a disturbance of internal cellular structures).

Adults expressing CG7048GD15259 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 0% or 40-50% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.
