UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of IP3K2GD8778 driven by Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 leads to wing phenotypes in flies (percentages rounded): (1) a wave-like buckle along the costal vein (distal to its intersection with the subcostal region) (0%), (2) an upturn at the most distal margin of the wing (89%), (3) overall shriveled morphology (distinguishable from mechanical damage or failure to inflate after eclosion) (11%).
There is a reduction in the frequency of wing phenotypes when expression of IP3K2GD8778 driven by Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 is suppressed (by combination with Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B at 18[o]C) at prepupal stages P1-P3 (and vice versa, an increase in wing phenotypes when expression is activated during P1-P3 at 29[o]C).
Expression of IP3K2GD8778 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU is sufficient to induce premature autophagy in the salivary glands of third instar larvae, but is not sufficient to induce autophagy in the larval fat body.
