UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Significant differences in local cell contraction rates are observed between wild-type and dGD4041-expressing tissues within the region displaying polarised d expression in the future scutellum. The orientation of significant differences are aligned with the local orientations of d anisotropy distribution. The differences in contraction rates between wild-type and dGD4041-expressing tissues is mainly associated with a decrease in the contribution of cell rearrangements to tissue contractions in the region of d polarisation and, to a lesser extent, to cell shape changes.
Pupae expressing dGD4041 under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified manifest defects in the shape of the adult scutellum.
Flies expressing dGD4041 under the control of either Scer\GAL4Abd-B-LDN or Scer\GAL4tsh-md621 show normal rotation of the male genitalia.
Adults expressing dGD4041 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 0% or 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 0% or 40-50% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum, depending on the insertion line used.
Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 may result in mild thorax closure defects, depending on the insertion line used.
