Expression of GSd462GSd462 under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80 results in reduced dendrite growth in the dendritic arborisation neurons of the dorsal peripheral nervous system cluster in stage 17 embryos.
Isolated RP2 neuron clones expressing GSd462GSd462 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP (clones generated using the Scer\FLP1eve.RN2 line) show a reduction in dendrite branching at 25-31 hours after egg laying.
Fas2-positive axon bundles in the ventral nerve cord are missing or disrupted in embryos expressing GSd462GSd462 under the control of Scer\GAL4scrt-11-6. In the periphery, the ISNb, ISNd, SNa and SNc motor neurons are missing or thinned.
The "GSd462" line contains two insertions (P{GSV1}GSd462a and P{GSV1}GSd462b) and it is not known which insertion is responsible for the lethality and other phenotypes seen in combination with the Scer\GAL4scrt-11-6 driver. FlyBase curator comment: a GSd462GSd462 allele has been made to accommodate the overexpression phenotypes, until it is known which (or both) insertions cause them.
