    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

Somatic gonadal precursors are normally specified in Mdr49δ3.16 homozygous embryos.

Germ cells in Mdr49δ3.16 homozygous or Mdr49δ3.16/Df(2R)Exel7123 embryos migrate through the posterior midgut, but many then fail to associate with somatic gonadal precursors. The same phenotype, but with fewer germ cells affected, is seen in Mdr49δ3.16 heterozygotes and Mdr49δ3.16/Mdr49KG08611 embryos.
