    The mean adult lifespan of males expressing gppGS17621 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB at 30[o]C is significantly shorter (34.5 +/- 0.8 days) than that of controls (36.7 +/- 0.7 days). These animals show no significant change in adult lifespan at 25[o]C.

    Flies expressing gppGS17621 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB and transferred to a nutriment-poor medium 4 days after eclosion show an increased average lifespan compared to control flies, while flies expressing gppGS17621 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB and transferred to a nutriment-poor medium 2 weeks after eclosion show a reduced average lifespan compared to control flies.

    Flies expressing gppGS17621 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB show increased resistance to oxidative stress (1% hydrogen peroxide) compared to controls.

    Flies expressing gppGS17621 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB (kept at 25[o]C for 4 days after eclosion and then maintained for 4 days at 30[o]C) show increased climbing activity compared to control flies.

    Flies expressing gppGS17621 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB (kept at 25[o]C for 16 days after eclosion and then maintained for 4 days at 30[o]C) show increased climbing activity compared to control flies.
