The expression of Cdc16^KK101480 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey.PU leads to eye defects, including shape defects and size reduction, as compared to controls; this expression strongly inhibits both morphogenetic furrow progression (particularly evident in the lateral margin regions) and retinal differentiation in the third instar larval eye disc, without affecting the disc size, as compared to controls. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^GMR.PU does not lead to any obvious eye defects, as compared to controls.
