UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
pupa, with Scer\GAL4phtm.PO
Knockdown of dibKK106954 driven by Scer\GAL4GMR47A04 causes a significant reduction in egg laying compared to wild type.
Expression of dibKK106954 in the prothoracic glands, under the control of Scer\GAL4phm.PO results in very large pupae, double larval mouthhooks (a common molting defect) and L2 prepupae. The latter phenotype occurs when larvae forego the molt to an L3 and directly molt from an L2 to a prepupa.
